This is a genuine replacement o-ring which is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Hitachi nailers. The purpose of this part is to ensure an air-tight seal fro the head valve, over time the material may wear out and crack eventually requiring replacement to ensure the proper fit. It is a high-quality component which is made of durable rubber and it is sold individually.

Opened cylinder, put new peices in place of the old ones, good or not. The valve rubber and exhaust valve rubber, were the original ones were deteriorated, put cylinder back together. Hooked up to air compressor, nailer did its job, nailed the nails again.

Remove the cylinder head, the cylinder bore and replace all parts in reverse order.
