Screwdriver, Torx set, nail set and hammer

1. Release the control that unlocks the mixer and tilt the head all the way up. Underneath the top assembly towards the front you will see 2 torx screws which secure a black plastic motor cover. Remove the 2 screws. Slide the plastic motor cover back into the base of the mixer. The metal latch used to hold up the head assembly can lowered into the motor base by using the release leaver and manually sliding the latch into the motor base.
2. Push on the front slide lever of the head assembly to release the front plastic options cover.
3. On the bottom (towards the front) of the head assembly there are 2 torx screws. Remove them.
4. Looking at the top rear of the head assembly remove the rear cover for optional attachments. On the rear drive port remove 3 phillips screws and the plastic hub they hold in.
5. Remove the top head assembly cover.
6. Remove the drive belt.
7. Remove 3 torx screws located at the rear of the head assembly which secure the motor assembly.
8. The motor will now slide out the bottom on the head assembly.
9. The motor control module slides out. Disconnect the motor from the from the control board.
10. Install new motor following the instructions in reverse order.
