disassemble obvious connections, miter adjustment, blade height. attempt to remove gear assembly and rotor. go on line and find you-tube video of repair of similar(not exact) model saw. proceed like video showed except rotor did not separate from gear assembly as shown. after hammering with rubber hammer got stator from old housing. there are no hard alignment guides in housing, you have to eyeball the position of the stator. then with the wood blocks and hammer pound the stator into the replacement housing. getting the brush leads back on contact rings required carving notches in two 1/4" dowels and bending L of sreel wire. clamp the L thru the brush opening so it holds one edge of the contact spring in place and use the notched dowels like chop sticks to push the spring back into position. reassemble the plastics and other fittings.
