This is an authentic OEM sourced replacement motor which is specially designed for DeWALT reciprocating saws. It is an identical replacement for a missing or damaged motor that drives the shaft, over time components may wear out and begin to fail eventually requiring a replacement. This complete assembly is sold individually, it includes the electric motor, the pinion gear, and the bearing.

I followed the assembly image on the page and replaced the motor and put everything back together and I was amazed at how easy the process was from ordering, to receiving it to taking all the screws out and removing the wires connected with a plug and putting it back together . Just pay attention to the trigger guts and the trigger piece that lets u move the saw straight or at an angle and u won’t have any issues . Also the price was great .
