This authentic OEM door latch is used to secure the dishwasher door during use. When the door is closed, the latch engages with the strike on the frame of the dishwasher to keep the door closed and prevent water leakages and accidents. The door latch should be replaced if it is worn down, damaged, or warped and can no longer provide a watertight seal. A faulty latch will lead to difficulties opening/closing the door, starting the washer, and completing cycles. Turn off the power supply to the appliance for your safety. Remove the door panel to access the latch. Disconnect the wire connectors and remove the two screws that secure the latch to the door. Pull off the latch and clean the mounting area. Position the new latch over the mounting holes and reinstall the mounting hardware. Reattach the wire connectors and return the door panel to the appliance to complete the repair.
