This stainless-steel control knob is an authentic manufacturer replacement part used in range cooktops. It has a diameter of approximately 2 inches and features a grip for easy handling. The knob is used to adjust and regulate the amount of heat produced by the relevant burner/heating element by controlling the flow of gas/electricity to the burner. It offers a selection from lo to hi, as well as a lite option, which is clearly marked with a black line on the face of the dial. Each knob is located on the front panel or surface of the cooktop, near each burner, and accepts a D-shaped shaft. If the knob becomes loose, cracked, or falls out of alignment it will become difficult to turn or may fail to work altogether. Before beginning the repair, ensure the cooktop is switched off or disconnected from the power source to avoid electrical hazards. Remove the faulty knob by gently pulling it away from the cooktop. To install a new knob, align the stem of the knob with the control shaft on the cooktop and firmly push it in until it locks in place. Each knob is sold individually.
