Product Description ?

This is an OEM sourced replacement part which is specially designed for use with DeWALT and Black and Decker drills. It allows user to secure drill bits. The ratcheting action clicks the jaws tightly into place for reduced bit slippage. If your drill's bit retention is suffering, the rotation feels stiff, or the chuck has seized up entirely, a new chuck should fix the problem. NOTE: This 3/8" capacity chuck mounts to the drill using a 1/2"-20 threaded spindle. The light-weight plastic design provides comfort while the keyless two-sleeve construction adds the efficiency and ease-of-use of keyless bit-swapping.

    Right chuck but wrong screws
The replacement chuck for my Dewalt drill was exactly like the old chuck. I ordered two extra screws to secure the new chuck but only one was shipped & it was wrong.

Allen wrench needed to remove chuck, there wasn't a screw holding the chuck in place on the drive shaft. Allen wrench hole in chuck stripped trying to release chuck from shaft.
used 4" angel grinder to cut the chuck apart, got down to the every end and the heat from the cutting released the chuck. unscrewed it and put the new chuck on.
all the instructions I saw online showed there being a screw holding the chuck from coming unloose never saw or did anyone mention that there might be a different process to remove this chuck.
