Product Description ?

It is an authentic manufacturer sourced replacement ignition switch, it is specially designed for use with MTD and Ryobi lawn and garden equipment. This is the part of the unit that allows user to turn it on and off with a simple turn of the switch. Over time switches may begin to fail due to a mechanical or an electrical issues eventually requiring replacement. Please note this high quality metal body ignition switch is sold individually. It is a complete kit which includes one switch, two ignition keys, a washer and a nut to secure it in the housing.

    Screwdriver, Wrench Set, Test light and OHM meter

    1. First I replaced the ignition coil and still no spark.
    2 With a test light checked for power at
    transmission safety switch and the blade
    engagement lever safety switch . No power to
    either switch.
    3 Checked ignition switch and found on back of
    switch was burned on terminal to send power to
    safety switches. Verified with OHM meter
    4 Replaced ignition switch and engine started!
    (Footnote, always start at source of power before
    replacing ignition coil)
