This is an OEM sourced replacement ignition switch that is commonly used on a lawn and garden equipment. This is a safety feature to prevent any unauthorized use of the mower, the key is inserted into the ignition switch allowing the user to start the unit. Because switches have mechanical internal parts, over time they may begin to fail eventually requiring replacement. Please note this is a complete assembly which includes the metal body ignition switch, the retaining ring and the set of two identical keys.
