Questions & Answers for Ignition Coil

Thank you for your reply. I have replaced the spark plug, engine is getting fuel, air filter is ok. I removed the spark plug and left the coil wire attached. In a dark room, I pulled the cord and there is no spark jumping on the gap between the electrode and ground wire of the spark plug. So is the ignition coil/module the most likely culprit? Thank you.

Hello Alex, Thank you for your inquiry. You can actually test the coil to see if it is working properly. We have included a link to our video on how to use a multimeter here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lx74qIn3YB4 and our video on how to test a leaf blower small engine for spark, which also explains how to test the ignition coil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vShfKez9vo Good luck with your repair.

My blower will not start, I poured a small amount of fuel in to the cylinder, installed a new spark plug and it still will not start, Could it be the coil or ?
Alex for model number BHX2500 asked on 2023-03-11
Hi Alex, Thank you for your question. If you replaced the spark plug and your blower will not start, there are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. We recommend checking the fuel filter, the carburetor, the cylinder, the fuel lines and the ignition module. We have included a link from our website that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please call customer service. We look forward to hearing from you!
