This original manufacturer ice maker is a genuine replacement part designed for refrigerators. It includes the icemaker unit, ice mold, and control device. It measures approximately 12 inches in length, and it is found inside the freezer compartment. The icemaker freezes water into ice cubes and dispenses the ice as needed. The ice maker should be replaced if it is damaged or unable to produce ice and there are no issues with the motor, water inlet valve, ice mold, and shut-off lever. Firstly, unplug the refrigerator for your safety. Remove the mounting hardware that holds the faulty icemaker in the freezer and disconnect the water supply line and wiring harness. Pull the ice maker out of the appliance and position the new one in the empty compartment. Reconnect the water line and the wiring harness. Secure the new ice maker with the appropriate fasteners.
