Carefully inspect the location of all parts removed from old case. Move parts to new case in order of removal. Be careful to line up the locating slots on the motor assembly. DO NOT FORCE the halves together or try to screw the case halves together. It needs to be completely closed all the way around to assure there are no pinches of mis-aligned parts. Good luck

housing was damaged from fall and clip to secure battery was broken causing battery to fall out

I removed all screws, split open housing, removed internal parts and installed into new housing. The majority of time was spent aligning the parts so new housing would close tightly. A small flat metal clip for the torque setting on the chuck was a problem since it fell out and I didnt know where it went. I had to open up another (same make) drill to see where it went. Drill like new again.
