    Had to disassemble bottom of vacuum cleaner. Removed hose attachment plate on the back of vacuum.
    Installed new hose assembly which fit perfectly.
    Reversed the process.
    Tested and unit was good as new.
    Also replaced the prefilter

    First I removed the screws from the beater cover and hose assembly, replaced the hose and replaced all of the screws.

    Turned vac upside down on card table. Removed about 15 screws , removed old split hose and installed new one. piece of cake.

    Debris Door missing and gashes in hose assembly

    1. Attached debris door
    2. Removed cover for hose
    3. Removed cover for lower brush
    4. Loosened fastener on old hose assembly
    5. Pulled out old hose assembly
    6. Attached new hose assembly
    7. Put everything back together

    Hose was broken

    Remove the base of the vacuum, several less than obvious screw locations, remove the air diverter from the back of the vacuum. lift the old hose out of the base first, then remove from the diverter, install the new hose into the base first then the diverter. Put the screws back in.
