Unless there is an easier way to get to the brushes, you'll have to completely disassemble the entire saw. I had to basically disassemble the saw for the new handle so wasn't a huge deal but it made it a challenge to get the old melted brushes out and clean everything before going back together. And make sure EVERYTHING is switched over BEFORE REASSEMBLE. I regreased the gears while I had everything apart also.
