Chunk of metal came dislodged from clamp and flew into blade housing damaging safety cover

    FABIO - December 21, 2015
    Tool Type

    Chop Saw

    Difficulty

    Medium

    Time

    30-60 minutes

    Tools Used

Screwdriver, Socket set, Circlip pliers, angle grinder

Very straight forward repair, only thing I have to say is the replacement safety housing or "cover set" did not fit too well. I had to spend time sanding the paint in the area around the circlip groove to get proper fitment. The paint is way too thick and causes the safety housing to bind on the circlip itself. The replacement spring and mounting bracket fit fine.
