This grommet is for demolition hammers and is sold independently. Grommets are also sometimes referred to as cord guards, as they help to preserve the cord at its most vulnerable point (where the cord enters the tool.) After prolonged use of your tool, this grommet can begin to deteriorate and will need to be replaced. Keeping the grommet strong is essential to prolonging the life of the cord.

Needed Repair Part For Older Bosch Jig Saw

removed to top handle cover exposing switch and cord connection.
remove cord from housing and release blk and white wires from switch, a small flat blade screwdriver needed to release wires. Note the position of the wires so the new wires can be installed correctly.
remove old cord and grommet. On the new cord install the grommet on cord. install new precut wires routing them to fit in place as the old ones.
Install cover being careful to place the grommet in the handle assembly it also is strain relief for cord.

' Remove the rear housing and the top cover. Remove the cord wires from the switch. Place the grommet on the new cord. install the new cord wires into the switch. Replace the top cover and the rear housing.
