This part is an OEM from the GE manufacturer. The evaporator fan grommet is constructed of plastic, and is designed for use with many refrigerators. The grommet helps to keep the appliance running quiet and at a proper temperature. In the freezer, the grommet is fitted in back of the evaporator cover. A screwdriver, nut driver and needle nose pliers are required for making the replacement. The evaporator fan grommet is sold individually.

1. removed the back cover of the freezer dept.
2. removed bracket holding the fan motor
3. removed fan from fan motor
3. replaced both grommets and reinstalled fan motor and back cover
4. turned on refrig and ran great, no more noise

Removed the front grill over fan. Removed fan bracket, replaced front and rear grommets, replaced fan assembly, and replaced from grill. Used phillips screwdriver and 2 different sized nut drivers.
