Grass deflector for a Ryobi 18 volt weed eater.
The deflector was packaged well and in great condition. It fit my Ryobi weed eater perfectly, it didn't have the 4 screws I needed to attach it but I had some that worked. I wish I would have paid for faster shipping as it took a while to get here, but you get what you pay for. But overall I am happy with what I ordered and will be ordering from Replacement Parts again.

Trimmer not releasing new string, and deflector shield not cutting the line well.

    1. Remove the old cap
    2. Take out the spool.
    3. Remove 4 screws (Phillips) securing the grass deflector assembly.
    4. Looked at a great YouTube video showing how to remove the plastic slider and spring.
    5. Mine did not come as easily as in the video had to use a flat screwdriver to pop it back and out.
    6. Put in the new plastic sider and compression spring.
    7. Put the new deflector assembly on.
    8. Put the 4 screws back in.
    9. Replaced the spool.
    10. Put the new cap on.
    11. Works like a champ again; line feeding out like it used to.

When I bought the trimmer the deflector was missing.

I just slipped the grass over the head of the Trimmer and it locked into place. Then I inserted the screws into the 4 places and tightened them down a little at a time not to break the new piece. If you order the deflector make sure you order the screws that go along with the part as they do not come with it.
