Product Description ?

This authentic component is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer for use with MTD string trimmers. It is an identical replacement for a missing or a faulty glide cap that was installed on a new unit. The cap is secured on the bottom of the cutting head assembly, please make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this part. Keep in mind this high-quality item is made of durable plastic and is sold individually.

    Line up cap to correct notches on the trimer, push on the cap and use a scrwe driver to push in the tabs to seat them.

    Trimmer line wouldn't stay put

    1. I used a Flathead screwdriver to unfasten the tabs along the old glider cap
    2. I removed the old Glider Cap
    3. I did a quick cleaning on the trimmer head after the cap was removed
    4. I installed the NEW Glider Cap by snapping it into place
    5. I feed the trimmer line and got back to work.
