Stripped gears

W - December 3, 2015
Tool Type

Circular Saw

Difficulty

Easy

Time

15-30 minutes

Tools Used

Screwdriver

Take off the bottom three screws on the base plate first.
Lift off the assembly
being careful not to lose the spring.
Best to leave the spring attached, if you're careful.
Next remove the four Phillips screws, again being careful not to strip the heads.
Slowly lift the shell to keep all the electric
"Innard's" in place. Now replace the gears with the
old sleeves attached. Use more grease if needed.
Assemble in reverse order. Very simple and quick.
