This authentic OEM bottom door gasket in your dishwasher seals the gap between the dishwasher tub and the outer edge of the door, preventing water leakage during washing and draining cycles. If there is water leaking around the bottom or underneath the dishwasher, or if water accumulates after a cycle, the gasket may be broken. To replace it, remove the lower dish rack and two Phillips screws on each side of the inner liner. Close the door, remove the external facing, and pull out the old gasket. Insert the new gasket into the same slot, ensuring a proper fit and alignment. Close the door, check the gasket reveal, reinstall the dish rack and external facing, and leave the closed dishwasher for a few hours to let the new seal settle.
