Screwdriver, Pliers, Adjustable Wrench
Parts Used
1. Remove face plate/control panel
2. Match mark the three wire connections to heater element then disconnect wires
3. Place heater on side with heater element facing up -prevents oil from escaping
4. Use large slip joint pliers or large adjustable wrench to unscrew heater element (counterclockwise)
5. Withdraw heater element, remove old gasket, clean gasket area
6. Place new o-ring gasket carefully over threads until flat against seating surface
7. Re-install heater element and tighten until snug but do not over tighten
8. Replace face plate/control panel wires and screw
9. Test heater for leakage by running for several hours with protective mat or cardboard underneath.
