Product Description ?

This is a 120-volt/20-amp line fuse for a wide range of microwave models. Fuses are used within microwaves to protect them from overloading. If too much power flows through the fuse, it will blow and prevent the microwave from overheating or catching fire. A blown fuse may only be a temporary solution, because it is normally a sign that there is another component or part within the microwave that is causing it to overheat. This fuse is sold as an individual part and comes by itself, without any other hardware. If your microwave is not turning on, the fuse is likely blown and will need replacing before it can operate. Replacing this fuse is something you can do yourself, but it is important to practice caution when replacing it, as microwaves contain several high-voltage components. To replace this fuse, you will need a Philips head screwdriver and a set of pliers. First, disconnect the microwave from the wall outlet and open it. Remove the screws securing the top panel of the front of the microwave. Use a magnetized Philips-head screwdriver to remove the securing screws within the front and control panel of the microwave. Lift the control panel and pull it from the microwave slightly without stressing the internal cables. Gain access to the fuse by unscrewing and removing the cage in front of it, and then use a set of pliers to pull the blown fuse out. It is recommended that you remove any shards from the blown fuse with a vacuum. Install the new fuse by carefully pushing it into position to seat it. With the fuse installed, check the internal wires for any corrosion or burns, which would indicate a bad switch.
