For my lawn mower it was easy. One part, the top cover over the flywheel (best description I have) just pops off in essence. Another cover was held on by 3 screws (Philips). Then the tank was secured by 2 screws and a bolt. The pliers were required to remove clamp over fuel hose at the bottom of the tank. please note, that even when I removed most of the gas using a siphon there is still a little gas remaining in the tank. So, place a rag under the tank where the hose comes off to catch the remaining gas.
