Tools Used

Pliers

1. Removed the outer plastic cover from the snow blower.
2. Emptied the gas tank.
3. Used pliers to release the clamps holding the fuel line on the fuel filter.
4. Pulled both sides of the fuel line off of the fuel filter, and attached fuel lines to new fuel filter.
5. Reattached the hose clamps to secure new fuel filter in place.
Before changing the fuel filter I cleaned out the carburetor, but the machine still wouldn't stay running. The new fuel filter did the trick! Old one likely went bad due to leaving fuel in the snow blower over the past couple summers - oops.
