    Socket set, Gear puller

    Removed the belt guard. Then removed the bold holding the flywheel to the motor shaft. Used a gear puller to remove the flywheel, then installed the new flywheel and replaced the v-belt. Then replaced the belt guard.

    Broken fly wheel on air compressor

    Socket set, Hammer drill for impact to remove damaged part

    Used the hammer only function on my hammer drill ads to remove broken fly wheel from tapered shaft, replaced cracked protective case, installed new flywheel.

    Broken flywheel and safety cage

    Screwdriver, Socket set, open end wrench, bearing puller

    Used screwdriver to separate two halves of safety cage. Used sockets and open end wrench to remove safety cage. Loosened compressor motor mounting bolts. Used socket to remove flywheel retainer bolt. Used bearing puller to remove flywheel hub. Installed new flywheel and tightened bolt. Installed back half of safety cage. Installed belt. Applied tension to belt by pulling on motor and tightening bolts at the same time. Installed front half of safety cage and installed screws using screwdriver. Test run compressor.
