right part and repair is complete
The Ryan trimmer is a old unit that had a manufacturer defect with the aluminum throttle control sleeve - Machine will stick with the throttle speed wide open and you can not release it without turning off the machine. this has caused the flexible drive cable to break - Cables are hard to find - ereplacement parts had (4) and I had a new cable in (5) five days - Great Thank you

Screwdriver, Nutdriver, wire brush & file for cleaning up trimmer before assembly.

I opened the box to verify new parts were correct, they were. I cleaned up flex shaft housing tube. I greased steel tube housing on the inside. pumped grease into the end several times. reassembled trimmer. tightened all bolts and screws. added gas/oil and started that baby up and went to work. it was a good experience and I will return if ever needed again, or I will use replacement parts to repair other trimmers and make a side line business out of it.
