This replacement filter basket is specially designed for use with Cuisinart coffee makers. It is a genuine item sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer. This plastic basket houses the filter which holds the ground coffee. It also features the spring loaded mechanism that will dispense coffee into the carafe. Replacing this part is very easy and does not require any tools. Simply pull out the old filter basket and secure the new one in place.

There's several elements involved: an outer solid plastic cone, which holds an inner cone with wire mesh and handle, which holds the paper filter. Are both cones included? The picture clearly shows the outer, but the inner element is not very apparent.
