This item took only minutes to remove and replace with the new one. Too bad it took over a month to get it to me despite indicating it was "In Stock". 5 stars for the item. 1 star for the shipping delay without explanation.

Questions & Answers for Fan Condensor

What components sends a signal to the condenser fan and how to troubleshoot the fan
PAUL for model number GFE29HSDCSS asked on 2023-03-08
Hello Paul, Thank you for your inquiry. The condenser fan is signaled by the temperature sensor, the thermostat, the compressor, and condenser coils. First check the condenser coils to see if they are dirty, and then pull out the condenser fan to see if the blade turns freely. You can test the condenser fan with a multimeter. The readings can differ from model to model so check your manual for the correct readings. Good luck with your repair.

How often should this fan run and what voltage supply the fan
PAUL for model number GFE29HSDCSS asked on 2023-03-08
Hello Paul, Thank you for your inquiry. The condenser fan should only run when the compressor runs to cool the refrigerator, and the compressor only should have to run occasionally throughout the day to maintain the temperature. It should normally be getting 120 volts to the fan. We hope this helps.
