Well first I changed out the thermostat, no joy.
Then I replace the electronic control board, which require the desoldering of 5 wires and soldering the wires to the new board. Again no joy.
Finally I replace the fuse/heater unit and that fixed the problem.
Why it took three parts to fix. Without any guidelines on trouble shooting this I did not realize that the fuses can reset after getting too hot or the heating elements were just getting too hot and the fuses open then reset.
I started with the most probable cause, thermostat then went on to the control board and finally the heater/fuse unit. The unit requires desoldering two wires, soldering the new unit and moving over the thermostat (do not forget to apply thermo paste between the thermostat and heater unit) from the old unit to the new one.
Cost close to 50 dollars to fix, never the less I love this coffee maker(coffee maker no longer available and on E-bay it sells for several hundred dollars) and now its back to making great coffee again.
