    Rubber on drive roller is broke. Do I need to get a drive roller or just a new rubber cover?

    The rubber material had come off of the aluminum drive wheel so it would not grip the sandpaper

    Screwdriver, Wrench Set, Allen wrench set for the side screws

    1.removed side screws from sander to split apart the body.
    2 Pull trigger assembly off also.
    3 Remove drive roller with gear that bolts through the center and place in jaw of vice with protection against damaging the gear. Use wrench to break loose the nut and remove the wheel and install the new wheel.
    4 reassemble unit in reverse order
    5 running test. Works fine.

    The driver roller has a dent in it

    I knew that the roller was threaded on the drive shaft and it was a LH thread. So I just used a hammer and punch and hit the roller in a clockwise rotation to get it loose. Once it was loose I was able to thread it off by hand and thread the new one on.

    located piece of rubber and using gorollia contact cement fastened to drive roller since the drive roller i ordered would not fit this repair worked fine apparently there is no drive roller available for this sander.
