Easy motor swap
The hardest part was removing the dang plastic covers to gain access to the motor. My old motor was running super loud, like a plane was getting raedy to take flight. I got the model number, looked it up, ordered it and swapped it out. Super easy! There are a ton of videos out there to help walk you through the process but it's pretty straightforward. The problem is that there's also a huge variety of treadmills too. But they are all pretty similar from what I have seen. Now it works as good as new. Shouldn't have waited so long lol.

Treadmill works like new
The wires on the new one were shorter than the original. Had to splice one wire together with the old to get it to reach. Hardest part was getting the drive belt on.

Bearings failed in drive motor - Needed new motor

Removed hood and trims
Cleaned out dust and debris - unit was 6 years old
Released tension on walking belt which allowed motor drive belt to be removed
Removed and replaced motor
Re-tension ed walking belt while re-centering on rollers
Checked for max speed per new motor instructions, was correct - no reprogramming needed
Replaced trims and hood
Tested all functions
Unit is now very quiet for a change.

I did a test on the motor & it was dead so I ordered the part and my treadmill is working! Yay. You just take the front part off and disconnect the wires. It was hard getting the screws back in to hold the motor. Not an easy task but worth it. The belt was hard to get back on but it beats buying a new treadmill.

I disassembled the treadmill outer parts, removed the old motor, purchased a new motor when I decided the old motor could not be repaired. My son and I tried to install the new motor and figured that the tread had to be loosened. Then it was fairly simple to reassemble the machine.
