Product Description ?

This door switch assembly, also known as a door latch assembly, is supplied by the original manufacturer for use in washing machines. It is a safety mechanism that detects whether the washer door is closed or open. The assembly includes a switch and a latch mechanism. When the door is closed, the latch engages with the switch, and signals to the control panel that it is safe to begin the wash cycle. The washer should not start if the door is open. If the door switch assembly fails, you will notice that the washer will not start, lock, spin, or drain. It may also stop running mid-cycle. Begin the repair by unplugging your washer and shutting off the water valves. Remove the spring clamp that secures the door bellows using a pair of pliers, and move the bellows out of the way to access the door switch. Remove the mounting screws that hold the door switch assembly in place. Position the new door switch assembly on the mounting area and secure it with the appropriate fasteners.

Washer was over-flowing and not draining excess water from clothes. The door lock sensor was inactive therefore causing the problem.
