This genuine OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with Hamilton Beach juice extractors. This is the part that grinds the food product you insert into the juicer to produce juice. When you are finished using juicer you want to remove strainer and clean the filter. I figured out that the blades must be getting dull and I needed to replace the basket. I don't understand why this is happening so quickly, since I don't use the machine daily and it's only a few months old. You simply pop out the old strainer basket, place the new one in (washed it first) and push it down till it snaps in. Now the juicer is working properly again.
