Broken air intake cover and dirty air filter

Repair was on a Husqvarna Straight Shaft Trimmer
1. Housing cover was removed - 3 allen head screws
2. Cleaned Dirt and Debris from inside housing cover and area around carburetor.
3.Performed routine maintenance / Inspections. Inspected Fuel Lines and primer bulb with cover removed - still serviceable. Replaced Spark Plug. These components are easily accessible with housing cover removed.
4. Removed broken intake cover and snapped a new cover in place.
5. Reapplied light lubricant to linkages
6. Reinstalled housing cover
7. Accessed Air Filter by removing cover - knob type screw.
8. Lightly Oiled and replaced air filter
9. Reinstalled air filter Cover
10. Test run Trimmer - Repair / Maintenance complete.

Removed cover for carburetor, found plastic cover broken, cleaned carb. After plastic cover was received installed and ran like new since.

I removed the outer cover, and then replaced both the broken cover and the old dirty (ready-oiled) filter.

Ignition module needed replacing, cover for carburetor was cracked.

Screwdriver, Pliers, Allen wrench, feeler gauge

1- Remove the cylinder cover, the guard over the muffler and the spark plug.
2- Remove the two screws holding the module. Remove the old module and install the new one. The gap between the flywheel and ignition manual is 0.012 , Reconnect the spark plug wire. Replace the cover.
3- Remove the muffler and remove the old gasket and replace with the new one, Replace the muffler.
4- Just press the new cover on the filter holder.

With hex key set I removed cap screws then carefully removed plastic housing. Then snapped cover into place and replaced air filter. Installed housing and cap screws.
