Remove one half of the housing
Disconnect the cord wires from the switch
Removed the old cord
Removed the cord relief from the old cord and put it on the new cord
Connect the new cord wires to the switch
Screws the housing back together

Open housing and disconnect wires from the switch. Install the new cord and reconnect the wires then close the housing.

My skil cord was worn

Very simple to do, I just removed the screws from the handle to separate it, then noted which wire went where. Then I used a pick to remove the wires from the switch one at a time, then routed and inserted the wires in the correct location in the switch. Then I replaced the screws in the proper hole in the handle. Done, very quick and easy.
