This is a genuine manufacturer approved replacement part. It is sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer and it is sold individually. The sealing ring is used to create a tight seal for cooker lid and the pressure cooker pot. Over time it will shirk and become brittle allowing for air leaks. If this happens, the pressure cooker will no longer be able to build up pressure. At this point replacing the lid seal/latch should fix the issue. This seal is made out of rubber material.

Inferior, faulty part.
The Cord Lid Latch I received had a very thin connection terminal (where It's two ends were joined - much thinner than the overall diameter of the cord). It snapped in to (broke) the first time I tried to use It. Money wasted. I'm very disappointed.

Had been looking all over for a replacement for my lost slow cooker lid band and was thrilled to find it on this site! It makes traveling food to parties and tailgating so much easier with no fear of juices spilling out. I had to purchase 2 incase I misplace or break another.
