This part includes one OEM 1/2-Inch collet and nut for use in router motors. The collet is a type of chuck that holds the router bit in a router. The nut holds the collet into the shaft, and the taper presses the collet snugly around the router bit. Over time, the collet can rust, and if it is not secured tightly enough, the bit might slip, which wears the collet much more quickly. Remember to remove wrench before using your tool. Place router bit shank through the nut and collet and then fully tighten with a wrench.
