Chuck would get jammed when trying to release bit

Tools Used

, torx and large allen wrench

Removed torx screw from inside chuck (reverse thread) Locked short side on allen wrench in chuck, braced drill on table and struck long side on allen wrench with hammer attempting to spin chuck turning counter clockwise. "This was how it was shown on u-tube" It did not work for me. Every time I hit it, the drill would released from locked and spin. What did work was to gently hold the drill in a vise and grasp the allen wrench by hand and turn it counter clockwise. It took some steady pressure, but this way the drill did not release, but the chuck did. Spun the chuck off once it came loose. Reinstalled with the new one. I would not recommend the impact method. Feel it is hard on drill.
