1. Removed the cutter head cover.
2. Removed and replaced deflector. Adjusted it as close as possible without touching the cutter.

4. Went back to work planing maple boards.

Lawn mower starter rope broke

Parts Used
1. Removed cover and starter pulley
2. Removed old rope
3. Wound the starter pulley all the way up and secured it with locking vise-grip pliers.
4. Threaded the new rope into the pulley and tied it off. Reattached the starter handle.
5. Slowly let the rope back into the starter and reattached the starter to the engine.
6. Threaded the rope onto the mower handle. Pulled the rope to ensure enough length.
7. Need to repeat some of above with adjustments it would permit enough pull and rope at handle.
