The blender leaked and then stayed in the back of a cabinet for a long time. I remembered it was a great blender but always leaked so ordered the parts.

Leaking at base of blender jar around blender assembly and gaskets

1. Disassembled my bad blending assembly using my hand and a wrench for added pressure on the nut that was not easy to unscrew
2. Cleaned the residue and scraped off the bad white deteriorated gasket from the base of the blending jar.
3. Installed the new blending assembly taking care to note the order of the washers and gaskets on the inside and outside of the blending jar.

Female threads on coupling stripped. Top plate surface finish worn.

Removal of stripped coupling.
1. Coupler unable to be unscrewed from motor shaft due to stripped threads.
2. Used Dremel rotary tool with abrasive cutoff wheel to carefully cut coupler off of motor shaft.
Removal of top plate
1. Remove three screws securing bottom cover plate.
2. Remove four nuts securing top cover plate.
3. Remove and replace top plate.
4. Replace bottom cover.
Screw replacement coupler onto motor shaft. Use straight blade screw driver to drive motor shaft and secure to coupler.
