Product Description ?

OEM sourced replacement carburetor designed for use with Powermate trimmer. Its primary function is to mix air and gas before the fuel mix goes to the engine. This is a metal body carburetor with a rubber fuel hose included. Please note gaskets are sold separately.

If the engine starts and then quickly dies, replacing carburetor may resolve this issue.

You would need a screwdriver to complete this repair.

• Remove the air cleaner cover, filter and the base
• Remove old carburetor and install new one
• Re-assemble and test the equipment

    Removed air filter assembly. Removed carb and disconnected linkage and fuel line. Connected linkage and fuel line to new carb. Installed carb. Installed air filter assembly. Super easy job. Started on first pull.

    The unit would only run after priming it a dozen times,then it died,prime, start,die,that is all it would do.

    I removed the carburetor and the fuel tank, I washed the tank out with hot soapy water,rinsed it and put in the sun to dry.I then put the new carburetor on the unit while the tank was drying.I put the fuel tank back on the unit,filled with fresh fuel and started the engine,it started on the second pull and runs like new

    The engine would run if I put fuel in the carburetor throat,and it had old fuel in it.

    Pliers, Socket set, Wrench Set, Ratchet and an extension.

    I removed the carb. and the fuel tank from the unit,and then I washed the drained tank out with hot soapy water "VERY SOAPY".I then replaced the fuel line,after the tank was dried out,I reassembled the tank and the carb. onto the unit.I put in fresh fuel and the engine started on the second pull.

    Removed air filter and housing
    Removed gas lines from carb and drained old gas from tank
    Removed carb from studs, being careful to remove gaskets for reuse
    Installed new carb being careful to install gaskets.hoses and linkage as removed
    Reinstalled air filter housing and filter

    Carb bowl nut stripped had to replace carb

    Removed Filter &Throttle flange & old carb with 2 nuts and 2 bolts.
    Cleaned mounting flange, installed new gasket
    Installed linkage to new carb slid new carb onto mounting studs
    Reinstalled throttle flange & filter housing tightened nuts and bolts
    Installed filter primed carb, started field trimmer and went to work
