Product Description ?

This is a genuine replacement part manufactured for use with trimmers. This carburetor is used to mix air and fuel to be sent to the engine's combustion cylinder. The passageways in carburetors can clog over time, especially when fuel is left in the machine for an extended amount of time. None metal parts of the carburetor and fuel system can also deteriorate causing leaks or blockages. This carburetor is a complete assembly including the gasket, fuel lines, fittings, and fuel filter. The carburetor assembly is sold as an individual replacement part.

    Troy-Bilt trimmer (TB90BBC - part # 753-1195) would not stay running

Remove screws holding carburetor cover on trimmer and remove cover. Disconnect fuel lines and throttle cable from old carburetor, remove mounting screws and remove old carburetor and gasket. Attach fuel lines and throttle cable to new carburetor. Align new gasket and new carburetor onto trimmer and attach with mounting screws. Start up trimmer and adjust engine idle speed as needed before re-installing the carburetor cover (the new carburetor idle screw is in different position than the original carburetor and cannot be adjusted with the carburetor cover in place). Install carburetor cover. The new carburetor worked great. I followed the normal starting instructions, pulled the starter rope twice and it started right up.

Removed and replaced carburetor assembly. Note: rebuild kit would have cost $32 and the replacement carburetor cost $44. For $12 the decision to remove and replace carburetor was an easy one.
