1. Confirmed that gas filter wasn't clogged.
2. Confirmed that generator did operate by spraying carburetor cleaner (high octane fuel in a spray can) directly into the carburetor (with air filter removed) and pulling the starter rope.
3. Ordered new carburetor assembly with gasket.
4. When new carburetor arrived, removed the old carburetor by (a) turning off the gas feed line, (b) pulling the gas feed line off the carburetor, (c) puling off other tubes, and (d) removing the two nuts that connect the carburetor to the engine.
5. Peeled off the old carburetor gasket.
6. Installed new gasket and carburetor and reconnected gas line, other tubes and air filter.
7. Turned the gas feed line back on and pulled starter rope to start the generator.

Removed air filter, linkage to throttle, gas lines and emission tube. Removed old carb, installed new. Replaced the pieces removed let it sit for enough time to fill the carb bowl with fuel and the generator started second pull!
Before ordering I worked on it for 2-3 hours! Should have saved the time and just waited for the new part!
