These replacement carbon brushes are sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer. They are an authentic Hitachi parts, not an aftermarket imitation. Carbon brushes help conducting electricity in a an electric motor. This item includes (2) carbon brushes with lead wires and springs attached per order. It is recommended to replace both brushes at the same time. Please note, the brush holders and caps are all sold separately.
You will need a screwdriver to replace these brushes.

Just replaced the brushes. As old as my planer was I was uneasy about finding the right brushes, thankfully I had purchased them years ago from you and went to your website. They popped right up. Hoo Ray!!!!!!!!!!!. Thanks again for digging me out of a hole.

Replace worn brushes

Parts Used
Remove both brush caps with a screwdriver, then remove the worn brushes and replace with the new brushes. Screw brush caps back on. It was an easy repair, but what made it easier was ordering them on line. No running around trying to find a place to purchase them.
