Perfect replacement and easy installment
The part was delivered in due time and was a perfect replacement power takeoff cable for my Toro riding lawn mower. It took about an hour for me to install it because I had to pull the deck out in order to put the clip on that secured the deck end of the cable. It was exactly like the original and my mower is now back in business.

My Toro Lawn Tractor, LX 425 was purchased in 2007. After 10 years of usage, the strands of the deck engage cable did break. Taking the tractor to a repair shop would cost $75 (transportation to/from shop), $90 (problem evaluation), $38 (the cable part) and $120 (2 hours of repair). By doing it myself, it cost me just the price of the cable.
I did the repair myself using a pliers, a plastic tie cutter and a flashlight to see under the deck.
1. Move the deck engage handle in not-engaged position;
2. With the pliers, remove the hold-in pin, holding the end of the cable on the bar;
3. Save the washer and remove the cable;
4. Cut the plastic tie holding the cable to the tractor chassis;
5. On the deck, remove the hold-in pin, slide the washer and remove the cable assembly;
6. Mount the new cable in the same order of disassembly The new cable contains all the parts;
7. Insert the end of the cable on the bar, insert the washer and the hold-in pin;
8. Install a plastic tie in place of the removed tie to hold the cable to the chassis;
9. Mount the end spring (between the existing belt) in the existing hole of the engagement bar;
10. Slide the cable wire in the hole, install the special washer and the hold-in pin;
11. Engage the bar to check that the mowing deck cutting blades are engaged. You are done.
In some cases, if your working space is not enough to install the cable, you would have to remove entirely the mowing deck, but this requires a little bit more work. Good Luck!

I lowered the deck all the way, traced the cable , removed all the clips and removed the cable.
Installed the new cable reinstalled the mounting clips
