This part is made of metal with a flexible plastic casing, and is used to connect the clutch control in the handle with the engine. You may require a wrench when replacing this item. Traction clutch control cable spring broke on a Snapper 826 snowblower

Parts Used
1. Simply removed the plastic cable guide on left side of snow blower (facing forward).
2. Remove old cables, one that went to the traction lever, and one that crosses over to the blower clutch disengagement lever. Note the direction that the "s" hooks enter each lever.
3. Thread new cables through cable guide slot and re-attach cable guide to the snow blower housing.
4. Hook "s" hooks on end of traction cable to traction cable lever on the handlebar, and the other (on the smaller diameter cable) to the blower (auger) clutch disengagement lever.
5. Hook spring into the traction engagement lever at the bottom of the snow blower.
6. Adjust barrel nut on traction cable to proper tension.
7. Test levers and auger disengagement function
This replacement cable fit perfectly.
