  • OEM cable fitter perfectly
This is not exactly what came on the machine when it was new; eReplacements included a two page instruction that clearly showed how to install this part. It was delivered quickly and functions perfectly. Thank you

    Wrong part
Received the wrong part. Cost more to ship it back than it is worth. Lesson learned.

Easy, straight forward replacement using basic tools
Part received turned out to be junk. It lasted one week (about one hour of mowing). The clutch cable arrived in a sealed bag and looked like an original part from Honda. At the one hour mark, the cable pulled out of the crimped on ball that attaches at the spring end of the cable.

Even though I thought the transaxle failed, it was just the "clutch" cable.
    1. DRAINED ENGINE OIL AND GAS. Turn mower over to access cable underneath.
    2. Removed old cable - had to grind a slot in the cable housing to remove old and install new one.
    3. Cable housing was too long - used grinder to CAREFULLY grind off some without damaging inner wire. (Inner wire could not be removed because ends are permanently attached) A BETTER SOLUTION WOULD BE TO EXTEND THE INNER WIRE SPRING WHERE IT ATTACHES TO HANDLE WITH SECTION OF COAT HANGER OR SOMETHING.
    4. Installed new cable
    5. reinstalled drive belt
    6. REFILLED MOTOR OIL and gas
    7. Mow
Sounds simple, but as usual, harder than it sounds.
