The special insulator bushing is used to seal the fitting between the fuel valve and the fuel tank and to prevent damage to either part. remove old bushing and replaced with new bushing and 90 degree fitting
found the best way to replace is to install the bushing first then insert the 90 degree fitting afterwards, as the fitting expands the bushing even tighter after insertion

Replaced gas tank bushing all the way up to fuel filter. No special tools needed. No special instructions. Remove old parts. Replace with new. Easy as can be. Oh make sure gas tank is empty Before disconnecting gas line. Safety first!!
