    Replacement Weber Burner
This is the second replacement in the last year. I don't know why these don't last longer, but the burner rusts pretty quickly and then doesn't heat very well. Not really an eReplacements issue I guess since the part is from Weber. Easy to replace fortunately for me.

    Never received
I ordered two parts. One arrived but not the burner piece. I have tried emailing twice but no response. I called and the answering message says to email.

Existing bolt securing the burner was frozen into the body of the Q220 grill

    Bruce - August 9, 2018
    Tool Type

    Outdoor Grill

    Difficulty

    Medium

    Time

    More than 2 hours

    Tools Used

Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set, Nutdriver, Adjustable Wrench

1)Tried using a screwdriver, a crescent wrench, and a 12 point socket on the slotted 3/8 inch bolt securing the burner to the body of the Q220 grill; all of which damaged the bolt. Don't do this!
2)Sprayed Liquid wrench on the bolt and let it penetrate overnight.
3)Used a 3/8 inch nutdriver that exactly matched the bolt hexagon and pliers to provide torque on the handle of the nutdriver and got the bolt to move slightly. Be careful because you could shear off the bolt.
4)Applied more liquid wrench and let it penetrate.
5)Using the nutdriver, removed the bolt successfully.
6)Removed and replaced the old burner and installed a new bolt.

Opened the screw, pulled out old tube, cleaned the grill base, inserted the new tube, replaced the screw. Took about 1 1/2 minutes.
Opened the tank valve, turned the burner knob to start, pushed the spark button and it started instantly with beautiful flame. Works like a new grill.
